The
Christchurch Civic Creche Case |
|
Several years ago I
served on the "ultimate" jury - murder. The trial went for six
days. The 8 x 12 photographs of the more than 50 injuries to the deceased
were very graphic, as was the verbal evidence. I had difficulty
sleeping. I had the odd nightmare. Concentrating on anything but the trial
was difficult. However, when the trial was over, I filled my jury service
under life experience and got on with my life. I did not need to see a
doctor. I certainly did not need counselling. As the jury on the
Christchurch Civic Child Care case needed both, I wonder how competent they
were to bring in a verdict? |
