The four women
discharged before trial in the Civic Child Care Centre hearings are launching
a national campaign to change the way child sexual abuse cases are handled. The four, Gaye
Davidson, Debbie Gillespie, Jan Buckingham and Marie Keys, will attend a
meeting at the Cotsworld Hotel tomorrow to launch FAÇADE, False accusations
of Child Abuse Damage Everyone. It is being set up as
an incorporated society and its manifesto will be announced at the meeting. The women said they had
agreed to lead the campaign because a climate of fear had been created over
sexual abuse and it was ruining hundreds and perhaps thousands of innocent
lives. |
