Sir - Regarding the major headline (October 3) about the new book on the Ellis case, it is a major leap to make from that case (which may well have figured large in local news now and then) to a book entitled, A City Possessed.

I would suggest that the few people interested in the case are far from representing the views of the people of Christchurch.

To suggest otherwise smacks of poorly researched support from someone who is a supporter. However well intentioned that support, one cannot include the whole city in one's belief. - E WATSON.
