I
regard Lynley Hood's concentration on the few who make substantiated false
ACC sexual abuse claims in her book, A City Possessed , as a red herring and
diversion, along with other misleading perspectives. Many women feel betrayed
by this book. Decent men and women in a caring society would be truly
appalled by the vast number of genuine sexual abuse claimants suffering lost
potential, and then take preventive action. Inaction amounts to tacit approval
of sexual abuse.
