Ellis case
Letter to the Editor
by Kurt Burrows (Waltham, Aug 20)
For months supporters of Peter Ellis have attacked innocent children and
spread rumour and doubt upon their ability to tell it like it is.
Finally, in frustration, these very same children and their supportive
families have been forced to revisit their torrid past in an attempt to prove
what has already been proven time and time again. In doing so they are forced
to face their own personal fears and relive things best forgotten.
Rather than a statement of compassion Lynley Hood launches an attack based on
her own weird -- in my opinion -- sense of justice.
I think the time has come to reaffirm our support for the true victims of
this case and realise after all that paedophilia is a truly ugly crime worthy
of all the contempt we can muster.
