Creative New Zealand has
done a wonderful job encouraging new writers and other artists. Lynley Hood
("Literati up in arms at author's CD threat", March 20) needs to be
wary of biting the hand which might feed her. While I admire the work
she put into her book A City Possessed,
she shouldn't get too precious about her degree, earned or not. It is not who
she is or what degrees she has that are important, but what she writes about.
"The pen is mightier than the sword" (or the degree). |
