Is Defence Minister Phil Goff, who
says a new book on New Zealand's war history, by Colin Cameron, puts to bed
the myth that New Zealand troops knowingly massacred German medical staff and
wounded men in Africa in 1942 the same Phil Goff who dismissed, without even
reading, another book portraying some of New Zealand's history, namely Lynley
Hood's clever analysis of the Christchurch civc creche case, A City
Possessed? Obviously he is prepared to accept
as gospel the writings of one person, that New Zealand soldiers did not
commit crimes, but compelling evidence that another New Zealander, Peter Ellis,
did not commit any crime can be brushed aside. |
