I was very interested in the
article "When a court decision seems like madness" written by Derek
Round (May 27). Having experienced the judicial
system recently as a support person for someone who eventually did not have
to face trial, I was astounded by some of the behaviour of the Crown
Prosecutor. Our prosecutors - if they should
desire at some stage to take the bench - should be placed under a great deal
of scrutiny, as the ability to impartially judge a person is the cornerstone
of our judicial system.
