No specific suspects in Charlene Makaza's death

The police investigating the suspicious death of a 10 year old Zimbabwean immigrant in Christchurch say they have no specific suspect in mind.

Charlene Makaza died in hospital last Sunday morning, after being found unconscious in bed at the house where she'd been living with her adoptive parents.

The head of the inquiry, Detective Inspector Malcolm Johnston, believes Charlene was suffocated by another person but he's satisfied there was no intruder in her bedroom.

He says officers are continuing to interview family members who were in the house last weekend.
