Police to continue to talk to family members re death of girl
The police investigating the
suspicious death of a Zimbabwean girl in Christchurch say they still have no
firm suspects but will continue to talk to family members.
Charlene Makaza, 10, died almost two
weeks ago in Christchurch Hospital, after being found unconsious
in her bed.
Post mortem results indicate she was
suffocated and sexually attacked.
Detective Inspector Malcolm Johnston
says there is no evidence that an intruder was involved.
Detective Inspector Johnston says he
wants to dispell any theory that Charlene died of
natural causes, and says anyone who has knowledge of what happened to her
should tell the police.
