Zimbabwean community sticking by family of Charlene Makaza

The Zimbabwean community is sticking by the Christchurch family, who was looking after a 10-year old girl who died after she was found barely breathing.

Investigators have confirmed that Charlene Makaza was sexually attacked, and say it was probably inflicted at about the same time she was apparently suffocated.

They have previously ruled out an intruder in her Christchurch home.

Taz Mukorombindo from the South Island Zimbabwean Association says they will remain supportive of the family.
