Murder case
A depositions hearing for
George Evans Gwaze, charged with murdering his niece in Christchurch, has been set
for July. In the Christchurch District Court yesterday, Gwaze, 54, who is
charged with sexually violating and murdering Charlene Makaza, was remanded in
custody to appear at a depositions hearing on July 16. The hearing is expected
to run for five days. Charlene, 10, was found at her Bryndwr
home on January 6 with breathing difficulties and died the next day.
