Man in court over Charlene Makaza death

A Christchurch court has been told that 10-year-old murder victim Charlene Makaza was HIV positive.

She had moved to New Zealand from Zimbabwe after her parents dies of aids.

The girl’s uncle and adoptive father George Gwaze has been charged with sexually violating and killing her.
