Trial of man accused of Zimbabwe girl’s murder underway
The trial of a Zimbabwean man accused of
murdering and sexually violating his eleven-year-old niece is underway in
Christchurch.
54-year-old George Gwaze faces the charges
from January last year when Charlene Makaza, who lived with Gwaze and his
family in Christchurch, was found in bed struggling to breathe.
She later died in hospital and a month later
he was arrested.
