Radio New Zealand A woman who alleges she was raped
by a former rugby league player says she remembers little of her ordeal. Tea Ropati is on trial in the
Auckland District Court on six charges of sexual violation in relation to the
incident in June 2006. The woman told the court she was
heavily intoxicated when she met Mr Ropati at a bar in Ponsonby. She says she
remembers flirting with him but nothing more, despite security footage
showing them engaging in sexual activity. Mr Ropati has denied having sex
with the woman, and says any other activity they engaged in was consensual. |
