The Army is urging a
former Waiouru cadet to put his complaints in writing so they can be
investigated. Ian Fraser has detailed
what he says was widespread physical, psychological and sexual abuse of
cadets at the army's elite RF school, which closed in 1991. His complaints cover his
time there in 1971, but have been backed up by another former cadet who
describes torture and abuse in 1964. Army spokesman Major
Murray Brown says Mr Fraser has not made any contact with the offices of
either the minister of defence or the chief of defence forces. He is urging him to do
so, so they can be investigated. |
