Feminism takes to the air with the
support of Air New Zealand and Qantas and their anti- men policy (November
30). Airline officials imagine that
unaccompanied children will be protected from sex offenders by relocating all
men. It is interesting to discover the accepted wisdom that all men are potential
sex offenders and particularly child molesters, while all women are iconic
guardians of morality. This wisdom is on the dark side of
the moon as far as the real world is concerned. Feminists are, generally, the
antithesis of femininity. Hearty moustached thigh slapping dykes are not
altogether fictional beings. Such people are harmless enough when their
energies are channelled into mud wrestling, weight lifting or dwarf throwing.
Give them a hint of authority over
the hated male, however, and its "time gentlemen please". |
