Police commission
Louise Nicholas,
the Rotorua woman who triggered a commission of inquiry into police conduct
after alleging she was pack-raped by a group of police in the 1980s will give
her first statement to the commission's lawyers in Wellington today. The
interview would be conducted in private and the spokesman could not confirm if
any transcripts would ultimately be made public. The commission was set up by
the Government to inquire into the manner police handle complaints of sexual
assault by police officers.
