Former Rotorua
detective John Dewar (53) entered no plea when he appeared in the Hamilton
District Court yesterday charged with four counts of obstructing the course
of justice. He was remanded on bail
to June 2 on the condition he does not associate with police witnesses and
surrenders his passport. Dewar denies the
charges, which relate to police rape complainant Louise Nicholas and cover
various dates between 1993 and 1995 |
