Rotunda criticised for role in abuse case
The
Medical Council has criticised management at the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit
at the Rotunda Hospital for its role in the child sexual abuse controversy
involving Dr Moira Woods.
Almost a year after the Council found Dr. Woods guilty of professional misconduct, it has found that some of the blame for mistakes
made at the unit lies with management.
Dr Moira Woods was the subject of allegations by five families, made ten years
ago, that she had falsely accused them of child sex abuse
