Alleged Victim To Face More Questioning Today

A woman who alleges she was indecently assaulted by three police officers more than 20 years ago is expected to face more questions from defence lawyers in the High Court in Auckland today.

Assistant Police Commissioner Clint Rickards, and former officers Brad Shipton and Bob Schollum are on trial, accused of kidnapping and indecent assault.

Yesterday the woman told the court about the alleged indecent assault at a house in Rotorua in the 1980s, and wept through a large part of the defence cross examination.

Mr Rickard's lawyer John Haigh QC accused her of constructing and embellishing her story to get the strongest case against his client.

Brad Shipton's lawyer is expected to resume his cross examination today.
