Two further Crown witnesses to give evidence in High Court trial today

Two more Crown witnesses are expected to give evidence today in the High Court trial of a high ranking policeman and two former officers charged with historic sexual offending.

Assistant Commissioner Clint Rickards and former officers, Brad Shipton and Bob Schollum, are accused of kidnapping and indecently assaulting a 16 year old in the 1980s.

Clint Rickards told the Court he has never met the woman and the other two accused deny the alleged incident happened.

Bob Schollum elected not to call evidence and the defence case for Brad Shipton wrapped up yesterday.

His wife testified they were on holiday for one of the months the offending is alleged to have occured.

The Crown was thought to have concluded its case, but the prosecutor has confirmed he intends to call two further witnesses today.
