Two last-minute witnesses are to
give evidence in the trial of a high-ranking police officer and two of his
former workmates. Assistant Police Commissioner
Clint Rickards, and former policemen Brad Shipton and Bob Schollum, are
accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in Rotorua in the 1980s. One of the two witnesses is
expected to be the Perth-based cousin of Shipton's wife, Sharon. Mrs Shipton claimed she and her
husband stayed with her cousin during a month-long holiday in Wanganui, at
the time when the alleged events took place. |
