The jury in the sex trial of a
high-ranking policeman and two former officers is set to resume deliberations
this morning. The Assistant Police Commissioner
Clint Rickards, and Brad Shipton and Bob Schollum, are accused of kidnapping
and indecently assaulting a 16 year old girl in the 1980s. Mr Shipton and Mr Schollum deny
the allegations. Clint Rickards also says the
allegations are false but in addition told the court he has never met the
woman and if the incident happened, he was not there. The jury started deliberating
yesterday afternoon and retired for the night 8 hours later. Deliberations are set to resume at
about 9 o'clock. |
