The Mayor of Auckland city says
Clint Rickards is not suitable to return to his job as the area's top police
officer. Assistant Police Commissioner
Rickards has been cleared of all charges following two trials on sex charges
but Mayor Dick Hubbard says the vast majority of Aucklanders, do not want Mr
Rickards back at his post. He says Mr Rickard's sexual
behaviour and his support of two convicted rapists is unacceptable. Mr Hubbard told Morning Report any
public contact with Mr Rickards would be inappropriate.
