Bradford signals support for anti-Police protests

The Green Party is giving its support to two protest marches being held later today, demonstrating against the Clint Rickards affair.

The protests in Wellington and Auckland follow the acquittal of the Assistant Police Commissioner and two former police officers of sex charges last week.

Green MP Sue Bradford says she empathises with the women who were brave enough to go through the recent trials.

Rickards claims his acquittals prove the women were malicious liars.

Bradford is calling for a public apology from Police and an acceptance of guilt for what has happened in the past, despite the outcome of the court cases.
