In brief: Peter Ellis hearing

abuser Peter Ellis will have a hearing in front of the Court of Appeal on
June 4.
A spokeswoman for Ellis' lawyer, Judith Ablett-Kerr, could not say what the
hearing in Wellington was for, but Mrs Ablett-Kerr had been expecting a bail
application hearing to be held this week following Ellis' application earlier
this month.
Ellis is in the sixth year of a 10-year sentence on 13 counts of sexually
abusing children. He has maintained his innocence throughout.
