Ellis inquiry call
The mother of Peter Ellis was to
arrive in Wellington
today to ask for a royal commission of inquiry into her son's conviction on
sex offences. Lesley Ellis said last night that the pending decision on an
appeal heard in July was irrelevant, because the controversy surrounding the
investigation into her son's case left too many unanswered questions. Ellis
is in jail after being convicted of offences against children in Christchurch.
