	The Evening Post March 13 2001 Ellis report due NZPA Convicted child abuser Peter Ellis is due to be in Dunedin today with his counsel, Judith Ablett Kerr QC, to receive the report of the ministerial inquiry into his case. Last week, Justice Minister Phil Goff confirmed he had seen the report which would be publicly released this week. It was anticipated a response to the report would be made tomorrow, Mrs Ablett Kerr's office said today. Debate has raged over the case since Ellis' conviction in 1993 on charges of sexually abusing children in his care at the Christchurch Civic Crèche. Ellis was released in February last year.
