Peter Ellis will find out
today whether there will be a Commission of Inquiry into the Christchurch
Civic Creche case. The Justice and
Electoral Select Committee chaired by Christchurch Central MP Tim Barnett,
will announce its recommendations on whether a government inquiry is
warranted. Ellis has always
maintained his innocence, and served two thirds of his 10 year jail sentence
after being convicted in 1993 of sexually molesting children at the creche
where he worked. |
