	Radio New Zealand March 20 2007 Former league player to go to trial over sex charges A former rugby league star has been ordered to stand trial on sex charges. The man, who has name suppression, faces three counts of sexual violation, including rape. After a two-day deposition hearing at Auckland District Court he has been committed to trial. The court heard the complainant was heavily intoxicated when she met the accused in a bar last June in Ponsonby, Auckland. She later found herself in a car on College Hill where the prosecution says she was raped and sexually violated.
