A court has heard that a former
Far North constable told a detective a rape complainant giggled at his sexual
advances, and repeatedly called him a naughty little boy. The ex-officer is on trial at the
Auckland District Court, facing eight charges including four of rape,
relating to an incident in 1988. The former detective read to the
court a statement he took from the accused several months after the alleged
rape. The accused told him the
complainant had been mildly flirting with him at a bar, and offered to take
him home. The detective said the accused
told him the woman called him a naughty little boy, giggled, and did not
resist his advances.
