Trial adjourned

A historic rape trial against a former Northland policeman in the Auckland District Court has been adjourned until Monday. The accused, 44, faces eight charges, including four of sexual violation by rape, stemming back to an alleged incident with a woman (now 63) in March 1988. Judge Michael Lance dismissed the jury until Monday morning for counsel to discuss legal issues today.
