	The Daily News May 1 2002 Incident not treated as rape Police are now not treating an incident in a New Plymouth park at the weekend as rape, Detective Sergeant Charlie Kawana said yesterday. A 23-year-old woman had told police that she had been raped in the Victor Davies Park about 4am on Sunday. Police had been able to clarify the matters thanks to a good response to a public appeal for witnesses, he said.
