The Dominion Post A Hamilton woman has admitted she
falsely accused a man of raping her in August last year. She said she did so
as retribution after he allegedly stole a $50 Warehouse voucher from one of
her friends. In Hamilton District Court, Zoe Joy Maxine Arama, 18, pleaded
guilty to one count of making a false complaint. Community magistrate Pat
Oettli ordered Arama to pay $375 reparation and reminded her of the effect
her complaint had had on others.
