The Dominion Post A woman saying she was attacked in
Hamilton on Thursday has been charged with making a false complaint. Police said the 17-year-old
claimed she was attacked outside toilets on London St and dragged to
Kirikiriroa Reserve by the Waikato River between 11pm and 1am yesterday.
Later she admitted it did not happen. Frustrated Hamilton police, who
dealt with three false complaints before Christmas, are hunting an alleged
serial rapist and investigating an attack on a woman on Claudelands Bridge,
on Monday. |
