Radio NZ The police investigating the
sexual assault of a tourist want to hear from anyone who may have seen a
barefoot man walking a popular tourist track in the Bay of Islands on Wednesday. They say the 27-year-old English
woman was dragged into the bush and seriously sexually assaulted between the
Waitangi treaty grounds and the Haruru falls carpark late in the afternoon. The police are looking for a man
with a North American accent in his 30s, with short dark brown hair, who was
barefoot and wearing a large ring on his hand. They will today spend the day
talking with people in the area. |
