Radio NZ The police investigating a sexual
assault on an English woman near Waitangi, say they've had a strong response
from the public offering information. The 27-year-old, who has been
working in Bay of Islands, was attacked by a man on the walking track between
Waitangi and Haruru Falls, late on Wednesday afternoon. Detective Sergeant Rhys Johnston
says while plenty of information has come in, investigators still need to
hear from anyone who was on the popular track on Wednesday. Rhys Johnston says the police and
Bay of Islands community are giving every support they can to the victim and
she is recovering. |
