A senior South Auckland
police officer has been ordered to pay reparations to a teenager he was found
guilty of assaulting. Senior Sergeant Anthony
Solomona appeared in the Manukau District Court this morning. His lawyer told the
court he accepts responsibility for his actions. Solomona was convicted
and discharged and ordered to pay $1250 to the teenager, who was 15 at the
time of the assault. The court case brought
forward allegations of a sick police culture in South Auckland. |
