Woodcock in court again

The former New Zealand priest accused of sex assaults on young boys has re-appeared in a London court.

Police want to extradite Alan Woodcock, 54, and he has been remanded in custody to front up in court again in a month.

The former Upper Hutt man is sought for alleged indecencies on male students in the lower North Island between 1982 and 1985.

Woodcock left New Zealand in 1991, and until five weeks ago had been living in a flat in south London.

Crown lawyers say New Zealand police have 60 days to present extradition papers to English authorities.

It is not known if Woodcock will contest the extradition.
