New processes for handling abuse claims
The
A new disciplinary code for ministers and members was adopted at the Church's
annual conference yesterday.
The code includes updated and refined methods for processing any complaints,
including those of sexual harassment or abuse against clergy.
The conference also heard a report on sexual abuse matters and agreed to create
a new position within the Church, which will include overseeing regional
training and support for those working with victims of abuse or harassment.
