Former detective and
city councillor Brad Shipton faces charges for offences alleged to have
happened almost 20 years ago involving Rotorua woman Louise Nicholas. Shipton, 46, appeared
in Tauranga District Court yesterday with car salesman and former police
sergeant Robert Francis Schollum, 52. A third man, suspended
police Assistant Commissioner Clinton John Rickards, appeared briefly in
Auckland District Court yesterday and entered no pleas to the charges he
faces. The trio were arrested
