The judge continues to
sum up the case in the police rape trial. Justice Randerson has
told jurors that to return a guilty verdict, they must be sure Louise Nicholas
did not consent to sexual activity with three policeman in Rotorua 20 years
ago, regardless of whether force was used. He said they must also
be sure the accused could not have reasonably believed she gave her consent. The jury at the High
Court in Auckland is expected to retire to begin deliberations shortly |
