The jury considering
sex charges against Assistant Commissioner Clint Rickards and two former
police officers will start its third day of deliberations today. The jury of seven women
and five men was unable to reach a verdict on 20 sex charges by 8.45pm
yesterday. Jurors retired for their second evening in a hotel. Rickards, Bob
Schollum and Brad Shipton deny the charges, relating to Rotorua woman Louise
Nicholas. Earlier yesterday, the
jury had asked for clarification on aspects of the judge's three-hour
summing-up. |
