The jury that is set to
determine the fate of one of the country's most senior police officers will
on Friday enter its third day of deliberations in the high profile rape case. Assistant police
commissioner Clint Rickards, and former officers Bob Schollum and Brad
Shipton deny a raft of sex charges involving Louise Nicholas dating back two
decades. The seven women and
five men began deliberating on Wednesday afternoon - coming back on several
occasions to ask questions of the judge. On Thursday afternoon,
the judge held a meeting with Crown and defence lawyers behind closed doors -
but it's not known what was discussed. |
