	The Press November 27 1997 Teacher on sex-abuse counts quits NZPA Hamilton - A Hamilton teacher facing seven charges of sexually abusing boys has resigned from Hukanui Primary School. The school has confirmed John Timothy Edgar has resigned. He told the board of trustees his decision was in the best interests of the school and its community. Edgar told the school his move was not an admission of guilt, and he would deny the charges. He is due to reappear in court today
