The woman who accuses four
men of raping her 16 years ago has been giving evidence at the High Court in
Wellington. The 37-year-old, who is
now living in Australia, says the men lured her under false pretences to a
secluded location at Mount Maunganui in January 1989. At the time the woman
was employed by a Hamilton organisation, and had been seconded to the Mount
for work over the holiday period. She says she was
attracted to one of the accused, who was always very friendly to her. The Crown alleges
another of the accused told her he was setting up a lunch date with the man,
but when she got there five men were present - all of whom raped her. |
