A woman who alleges she
was pack raped at Mt Maunganui 16 years ago continues giving evidence in the
High Court at Wellington this morning. The 37-year-old, who
now lives in Australia, believed she was going on a lunch date with one of
the accused. The date was the result
of a bet with one of the other accused, who offered to set her up with the
man if she won. The woman says the
supposed lunch was arranged, but she was taken to a secluded location where
she was shocked to find a total of five men present, all of whom abused her.
One of the men has never been identified. The other four are on
trial for abduction, rape and unlawful sexual connection. |
