The Court of Appeal is
hearing the case of four men convicted of the pack rape of a 20-year-old
woman at Mt Maunganui in the late 1980s. The appeal has been
lodged by former businessman Peter Mc Namara, ex-firefighter Warren Hales and
two men whose names are still suppressed. They were jailed for
rape and abduction last July, following a high profile jury trial at the High
Court in Wellington. |
