A well-known Taranaki professional
appeared in the New Plymouth District Court yesterday on multiple charges of
sexual offending. The man, who for legal reasons
cannot be identified, is charged with 13 counts of indecent assault and
sexual violation. The charges date back to offending
which allegedly occurred between 1981 and 1996. There are five complainants. Judge Robert Murfitt remanded the
man on bail to reappear in court on October 12.
